Elizabeth Alexandra Marie Windsor has been the queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms since the death of her father King George the sixth in 1952 with a long life lived for every second in the glare of the public eye you might think that we all know every little thing there is to know about this highly respected and well-regarded monarch but here are 15 things that you didn't know about Queen Elizabeth Second.

Queen Elizabeth II has two nicknames though we humble civilians wouldn't dream of calling her anything other than your Majesty the Queen actually has two nicknames that have been used for many years as a child her parents and other close family members knew her as Little Bet a sweet variation of Elizabeth and something you might have picked up on in the movies the King's Speech however one name you may not be so familiar with is the pet name that her husband - Duke of Edinburgh has for her to us she is Queen Elizabeth the second but to Prince Philip she is cabbage.
